Alice Oehr is a Melbourne artist and designer whose distinct colourful illustrations and art incorporate her love of food, pattern, collage, and drawing.
Her first children's book, ‘Off to the Market,’ is a journey through the weekly shop - following a list and making plans for what to cook for the week. To celebrate the launch of this bright, bold and beautiful book, we’re hosting a book signing with Alice at our Fitzroy store, on Gertrude Street. Bring your young, budding market enthusiast for a chance to meet Alice and take some special treats home.

How to get involved
Drop by any time from 10am for a chat with Alice and to pick up a signed copy of 'To the Market'.
For the kids
Alice has made colouring sheets for the kids to create dazzling masterpieces at home, along with cute packets of sunflower seeds to plant in the garden.
Special treats to take home include raspberry yoyos, chocolate chip cookies and fluffy cheesecake.
On the day of her signing, Alice is bringing prints of her 'Salad' poster - made to commemorate the release of her first childrens' book. These veggies look so inviting, we hope they'll drive any kid to add them to their dinner plate.
